Join us every Sunday Morning at 10:15am

Sunday Schedule.

  • Equipping Hour is our primary topical teaching time. Classes are taught by a variety of members or pastors and address important and engaging topics such as following Christ through trials, having a godly home, caring for one another, and other vital topics.

During this hour we also have nursery and Sunday School classes for kids of all ages.

  • The Sunday morning service is our main gathering. In this service we join together as a church body and worship our Savior through music, prayer, communion, and preaching.

Nursery (0-2), our 3s & 4s class, and Jr Church (5-5th) are available for those too young to sit in the service.

  • We end every Lord’s day with our more intimate gathering. On Sunday evenings we come together again to sing, hear God’s Word taught, and pray for one another.

During this time, Nursery (0-2), Little Theologians (3-5th), Middle School (6th-8th), and High School groups meet in various places around campus.

Ministries

Kids

  • Our biblically driven Sunday school classes are designed to magnify God by studying His character in the pages of Scripture.

During Equipping Hour (9:00 - 9:45am) we have classes for:

    • 3 years - Kindergarten
    • 1st - 2nd Grade
    • 3rd - 5th Grade

  • Each week the nursery is staffed with workers who care for our infants and toddlers. This ministry allows our moms and dads to be fully focused and engaged in the Sunday services.

Our nursery is equipped with cribs, swings and toys to engage curious minds.

A private area is also available for nursing mothers.

  • Our preschool and kindergarten program encourages classroom participation while learning Biblical truths. Each activity is prepared with the Bible lesson in mind to help our preschoolers remember what they have learned.

This class is only offered during our main Worship Service.

  • Jr. Church is available during our worship service for children age 5 to 5th grade. Children begin in the main worship service with their parents before being dismissed for a child-focused teaching and worship time.

At the conclusion of the service, you can head to our Commons building to pick up your child from their classes.

  • Some children have needs that are not met in a typical children’s ministry. For these children we offer our Child Advocate program. Child Advocates will accompany your child to our children’s events and provide necessary assistance so they can have a safe and enjoyable experience while you enjoy and focus on worshiping God and hearing his Word.

  • Our Little Theologians program offers and opportunity for children 3-11 to be trained in Bible doctrines through a question and answer program.

Little Theologians meets at 6:00pm on Wednesday evenings during the school year.

Student Ministries

  • The Jr. High ministry is for students in grades 6-8 stressing commitment to Jesus Christ and the church. Our objective is to speak of the glory of the cross to the students where they live.

This group meets Sunday mornings at 9:00am and on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm for fellowship, fun, and spiritual encouragement.

  • The purpose of our High School ministry is to glorify God by raising up faithful followers of Jesus among teenage youth. We do this by coming alongside parents in evangelizing and discipling their children.

This group gathers on Sunday evenings at 6pm for time together in the Word.

  • Good News Project is for young adults between the ages of 17-24. This group exists to reach the young adults of Bakersfield with the Good News of Jesus Christ and connect them to the church. We believe young adults actually want to hear and know God’s Word.

This group meets every Monday night at 6:30pm for preaching and singing.

Adults

  • Our Women’s Bible Study meets on Thursday nights at 6:00pm during the school year. This time is focused on the Word of God through rich study of the Scriptures in both large and small group contexts. Through this study, ladies build deep, meaningful relationships around things that matter.

  • On Friday mornings at 6:00am a small group of men gather at the church to study God’s word, encourage, and fellowship with one another.

Periodically, the men of Crossway will gather together on a Saturday morning to fellowship over breakfast and enjoy a conversation about a theological article or book.

  • Crossway's Salt & Light group consists of adults ages 55+ that meet monthly to share food, fellowship and a bible or book study in order to do life together and encourage one another to grow in Christlikeness.

  • Strong relationships within the body of Christ are a key distinctive of a healthy church. At Crossway, we pursue these relationships through several formal and informal small group studies and gatherings. Speak to a pastor for more information.
